Christian Vision

A Message From Phil

We are a Church of England church and so we are Christians. That means we follow Jesus Christ. We gather to worship Almighty God, to support each other and to receive fuel to help us lead truly Christian lives. The Bible is hugely important in our journey with Jesus on the road to eternal life. It tells us of Jesus’ death on the cross reconciling humanity to Almighty God and his resurrection opening the gate of paradise to all who wish to go there in the company of Jesus. It makes clear that love is at the heart of how we are to live and be. We are to love God with all our “heart, soul, strength and mind” and others as Christ loves us. God loves us with a love that cannot be measured and the best thing we can do is to respond to that as positively and consistently as possible. God will never stop loving us.

Whether someone is here as a committed Christian, someone exploring the faith or someone seeking company we are all fallible, This is very much a church for the imperfect. We believe that getting closer to God through Jesus brings liberation now and in eternity and is an infinitely precious relationship. Our hope and prayer is that all people will come to enter that relationship, know they are loved by God and be free here and in eternity.
